Corsica Linea ferry detained at the port of Algiers

The ferry Jean Nicoli, owned by French company Corsica Linea, has been detained at the port of Algiers since November 12, according to specialist media outlet Le Marin. The Algerian maritime authorities have not specified the reasons for this detention. Information available on the ship tracking website Vessel Finder confirms the presence of the Jean Nicoli in the port of Algiers.

Due to operational constraints, Corsica Linea has modified its ferry schedule. The Sète–Bejaïa crossing on November 13 and the Bejaïa–Marseille crossing on November 14 have been cancelled. In addition, the Marseille–Tunis crossing, originally scheduled for November 15, has been postponed to November 16 and will be operated by the ship Vizzavona.
