Algeria–Qatar: A new impetus for employment and social protection

During an official meeting, Algerian Minister Abdelhak Saïhi reaffirmed the strength of the historic and fraternal relations between Algeria and Qatar. The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the areas of labour, employment, and social security. The minister underlined Algerina's efforts to ensure modern and inclusive social protection, emphasizing the importance of a balance between employers, employees, and public authorities.

Algeria aims to intensify partnerships with Qatar through concrete projects: technical exchanges, training, bilateral agreements, and cooperation in the digitisation of services. The Qatari ambassador welcomed this dynamic and expressed his country's interest in strengthening exchanges with Algeria, a strategic partner in the region.

Several avenues were discussed: technical visits, joint workshops, and the development of digital platforms for sharing expertise. Both parties emphasized their shared desire to build a strong, lasting, and mutually beneficial partnership in the key areas mentioned.
