Sonatrach strengthens its strategic partnerships in Italy: Rachid Hachichi on a mission to Florence

Sonatrach CEO Rachid Hachichi is attending the American company Baker Hughes's annual meeting in Florence, Italy. Accompanied by a high-level delegation and the CEO of Sonelgaz, he held a series of meetings with major industrial partners to monitor the progress of several strategic projects.

On the sidelines of a meeting, Mr. Hachichi discussed with Alessandro Bernini, CEO of Tecnimont, the progress of the petrochemical complex dedicated to the production of linear alkylbenzene, a $1.05 billion project scheduled for commissioning by the end of 2027. He also reported on the LPG extraction complex at Ghard El Baghel, which is 73% advanced and will produce 1,000 tonnes of LPG and 300 tonnes of condensate per day by 2026. Another meeting with Tecnimont and Baker Hughes focused on reinforcing the Hassi R'mel gas reservoir. Sonatrach thus reaffirms its commitment to meeting international deadlines and standards to ensure a sustainable energy supply and strengthen its presence on the global market.
