A delegation from Sonelgaz, led by CEO Mourad Adjal, visited Cairo from February 8 to 10 to explore opportunities for cooperation with Egyptian companies in the electricity sector. Discussions with Holding Électricité d'Égypte and the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company focused on electricity generation, transfer and distribution, to establish a strategic partnership.

The delegation also visited Elsewedy Electric, a cable manufacturing group based in Algeria, to strengthen cooperation in the manufacture of electrical equipment and explore new investment opportunities.

A framework agreement was signed between Sonelgaz's Social Works Fund and the General Union of Egyptian Public Service Workers to improve social benefits for employees of both companies.

This visit marks a key stage in strengthening economic and energy relations between Algeria and Egypt, promoting technological exchanges and investment in the regional electricity industry.
