During the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Tizi Ouzou, Mr Madjid Banoun, Director of Industry and Mines, announced the imminent resumption of Eniem's production of heaters and air conditioners, thanks to partnerships with Chinese and Turkish companies.

With a local integration rate expected to exceed 60% for heaters by June 2025 and 80% for air conditioners in 2025, Eniem aims to strengthen its industrial autonomy and reposition itself on the market. Administrative and maritime delays have postponed the first production of air conditioners from December 2024 to 2025.

Despite a financial crisis that halted production in 2023, Eniem resumed operations in February 2024 with a DA 3.5 billion government loan. The company, which employs 17,000 people, still has a significant debt of DA 5 billion but is gradually recovering.

This project embodies a national commitment to industrial revitalisation, emphasizing strategic partnerships, local integration and knowledge transfer. Eniem aims to re-establish itself as a key player in the national industry, demonstrating the country's resilience and ability to overcome challenges.
