Mr Noureddine Yassaa, Secretary of State to the Minister of Energy, in charge of renewable energies, received a delegation from the German Bosch Group in Algiers on Sunday, led by the President of the company's African subsidiary, Mr. Markus Thill.

According to a Ministry press release, the aim of the meeting was to strengthen the bilateral partnership between Algeria and Germany in the field of new and renewable energies and green hydrogen and to exchange experiences to support Algeria's sustainable energy transition.

 

During the meeting, the Secretary of State stressed the importance of benefiting from German technology and expertise to develop Algeria's energy sector compliant with the country's strategy to achieve energy transition and promote sustainable development. He presented an overview of development programs in Algeria's energy, mining, renewable energies, and green hydrogen sectors.

 

For his part, Mr Markus Thill highlighted Algeria's great potential in new and renewable energies, particularly in green hydrogen and solar energy, among the best in the world. He also underlined Bosch's commitment to providing innovative solutions to support Algeria's efforts to harness renewable energies and integrate them into the national energy mix.
