The inauguration of these facilities took place during a working visit and inspection carried out by Mr. Arkab, who headed a large delegation comprising the CEO of SONATRACH, Rachid Hachichi, senior executives from the Group, and the Secretary General (SG) of the National Federation of Oil, Gas, and Chemical Workers (FNTPGC), Hamou Touahria, as part of the monitoring of energy infrastructure development and implementation projects in the region.

The delegation began its visit with the inauguration of a new living quarters facility for workers at the In Amenas Regional Directorate, which is part of the Pipeline Transport division. The facility can accommodate 126 workers, equipped with bedrooms, a canteen, leisure areas, and other facilities built to current standards, ensuring the comfort and well-being of workers and improving their conditions.

The delegation's second stop was at the Regional Directorate of the TFT Production Department, which is responsible for exploration and production activities, where it listened to a comprehensive technical presentation on the management and development of the areas, as well as on the progress of production operations at the TFT field, which is one of the strategic pillars of the national hydrocarbon production system, according to the statement.

The field has 23 separation centers, (4) storage and shipping centers, one (1) associated gas processing unit, one (1) power plant, two (2) water production and injection centers, and vital structures, with a production capacity of 54,000 barrels/day of crude oil and 5.2 million cubic meters of associated gas, including 2.4 million cubic meters/day of gas for export.

In this context, NAFTAL (a subsidiary of SONATRACH) presented a report on fuel distribution activities in the wilaya of Illizi, through five service stations and two aviation centres, in addition to diesel, unleaded gasoline, and Sirgaz, which helps meet the growing demand for petroleum products in the Illizi province.

The delegation also inspected the gas processing unit associated with the TFT field, which undergoes periodic maintenance every three years to increase its operational availability, with an estimated gas processing capacity of 4.4 million cubic meters per day.

The delegation then visited the Ain gas development field.

T'sila, in the Illizi basin, where she received detailed technical explanations about the gas processing complex. On this occasion, the minister, accompanied by Mr. Hachichi, inaugurated the gas processing complex, which includes two lines with a total processing capacity of 12 million cubic meters of gas per day, 1,800 tons per day of condensates, 1,600 tons per day of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), as well as a power generation unit with a capacity of 125 megawatts and 355 km of gas pipelines.

At the same time, a new base camp in Ain T'sila was inaugurated with a capacity of 220 workers, built by the National Civil Engineering and Construction Company (GCB), a subsidiary of Sonatrach.

At the end of the visit, the Minister of State and the CEO of the Sonatrach Group inaugurated an airport in TFT, representing another milestone in the region's energy and logistics infrastructure.

According to modern standards, this facility has been designed to offer the best possible reception and guidance conditions, high-quality services to travellers, and ensure a comfortable and safe working environment. It will also help improve mobility for workers, operators, and partners, besides strengthening local development, the statement concludes.
