American public works companies want to invest in Algeria

The Minister of Public Works, Mr. Lakhdar Rekhroukh, received the President of the Algerian-American Business Council, Mr. Samy Boukaila, in Algiers yesterday, Monday, according to a Ministry press release.

The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures met with the President of the Algerian-American Business Council to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation and investment opportunities in this strategic sector.

Discussions focused on major infrastructure projects, including roads, ports and railroads. The Minister underlined the efforts to modernize the Algerian rail network, as part of the national investment program initiated by the President of the Republic. He also highlighted the advantages and opportunities available to foreign investors.

For his part, the President of the Algerian-American Business Council expressed the interest of American companies in this sector, underlining the favourable investment climate in Algeria. He stressed the potential for exchanging expertise and strengthening economic relations between the two countries.
