After a 3-year hiatus, ENIE plans to relaunch TV production

After a 3-year hiatus, Entreprise Nationale des Industries Electroniques (ENIE) (National Electronic Industries Company), based in Sidi Bel Abbès, is now planning to relaunch TV set production and to start manufacturing washing machines as well.

Samia Semmak, head of communications at this former flagship of the Algerian electronics industry, confirmed this to the official APS agency on Sunday, on the sidelines of the National Production Fair.

 

The same official confirmed that efforts are underway to relaunch the ENIE unit at Télagh (Sidi Bel Abbès), which will be dedicated to the production of washing machines and electronic scales.

 

Towards the manufacture of a new type of air conditioner

 

Ms Semmak also pointed out that ENIE Photovoltaïque intends to launch a project shortly for the manufacture of air conditioners powered by this type of renewable energy, stressing that this product would be aimed particularly at the southern wilayas and landlocked regions.

 

She also pointed out that the company has already begun manufacturing conventional and intelligent electronic payment terminals (EPTs), with a production capacity of over 1,000 units/da, and an integration rate of over 60%.
