Sifi Ghrieb talks with his Egyptian counterpart

Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb spoke by phone on Sunday, October 12, 2025, with the President of the Council of Ministers of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mostafa Madbouly.

This exchange is part of the follow-up to the telephone conversation held on October 8 between the President of the Republic, Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his brother, the Egyptian President, Mr Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi.

The two officials reviewed the state of the historic relations of solidarity and cooperation between Algeria and Egypt.

On this occasion, Mr Madbouly emphasized the depth of the fraternal ties between the two countries, praising the esteem and respect enjoyed by Algeria among the Egyptian leadership, government, and people. He also stressed the importance of continuing joint efforts to develop bilateral cooperation in all areas.

Meanwhile, Mr Sifi Ghrieb reiterated his congratulations to his Egyptian counterpart on the occasion of the commemoration of the October 6 victories, while reaffirming Algeria's desire to strengthen and intensify bilateral cooperation so that it lives up to the historic solidarity between the two countries.

The Prime Minister finally emphasized the need for rigorous preparation for the 9th session of the Algerian-Egyptian Joint Commission, which will be a milestone in strengthening the economic partnership between Algiers and Cairo, thus opening up new prospects for cooperation in various sectors.
