Air Algérie has launched a major program to renew and expand its fleet, which began in 2023, with the planned acquisition of 18 new aircraft, including Airbus A330-900s, Boeing 737 MAX-9s, and 16 ATR 72-600s for its new subsidiary, Domestic Airlines, to strengthen its domestic network.

CEO Benhamouda said that the first deliveries, including an Airbus A330-900, mark the start of this plan. By 2026, several other aircraft will join the fleet. From 2027, delivery of the Boeing 737 MAX-9 will begin, and new orders are being considered to support the growth of the network.

At the regional and international level, Air Algérie plans to:

Double its African routes by 2028 (to around 20 destinations), with new routes to Libreville and Luanda, and the extension of the new Algiers-N'Djamena route.

New routes to Rotterdam (Netherlands) and Guangzhou (China) will be launched soon, and services to Beijing, Doha, Egypt, and Turkey will be increased.

Plans for Southeast Asia next summer and expansion in Canada beyond Montreal.

Air Algérie affirms that this expansion will not neglect the domestic network or its role towards the Algerian diaspora. The strategic plan extends until 2035, with further acquisitions to come in order to meet growing demand.
