As part of its efforts to secure the necessary funding for its strategic projects, Algeria is strengthening its cooperation with China. The Minister of Public Works, Abdelkader Djelaoui, met with Liu Junfeng, Vice President of the Chinese agency CIDCA, to discuss infrastructure development, particularly railways. This collaboration is aligned with the agreements reached during President Tebboune's visit to Beijing in 2023. Discussions focused on the financing and implementation of structural projects, including the East and Southwest mining lines.
At the same time, Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf held talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi to strengthen bilateral economic relations. China reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Algerian projects and deepening cooperation based on shared interests, covering various sectors such as energy, industry, and public works.
