Oran: Nearly 7,000 applications registered on the “Mihnati” platform
The “Mihnati” platform dedicated to enrolment in vocational training establishments attracted strong demand from young people wishing to access training in training and apprenticeship centers, for the October session of the new academic year in the sector, according to the local directorate, who estimated the demand at over 7,000.
The same source attributed this high level of support to the numerous awareness-raising campaigns launched since July by the wilaya Department of Vocational Training and Education (DFEP), together with its partners, to bring the various training opportunities closer to young people in Wilaya's various communes, as well as the measures facilitating the creation of start-ups and the many advantages granted to project owners, from the start of their training course through to the completion of their projects.
It should be pointed out that registrations via the ‘Mihnati’ platform are continuing right up to September 28 at the wilaya's training establishments.
Furthermore, the DFEP of Oran offers more than 15,000 training places, on the occasion of the next session, scheduled for 8 October, which will be marked, it was noted, by the opening of 8 new specialities, 7 of which fall under the apprenticeship method in the following niches: distribution of pharmaceutical products, production of olive oil, preparation of fats, supervision of construction, road maintenance, installation and maintenance of video alarm systems, draftsman and reinforced concrete.
According to the same source, the other two courses planned as part of the training program are in the sorting and drying of medicinal and aromatic plants and the extraction of olive oil.
The wilaya of Oran has 32 training establishments, including 6 specialized institutes (INSFP), a vocational training institute (Arzew), as well as 23 training centres and 2 annexes, in addition to the regional annexe for vocational training and education at a distance, with a cumulative capacity estimated at 10,000 training places, to which should be added around 7,400 training places provided by 100 private establishments.
