Stellantis refers to a “pioneering initiative in Algeria” that “marks an important milestone in ISTA USTO-MB's academic mission” and testifies to its commitment to developing skills in the automotive industry.
The creation of this speciality for the 2024-2025 academic year is the continuation of several partnership agreements. A first agreement was signed between the Fiat Tafraoui plant and USTO-MB, followed by a tripartite agreement involving Stellantis in 2023, according to the press release.
This partnership has already allowed the creation, from the 2022-2023 academic year of a professional degree in Production Unit Management at the ISTA of the USTO-MB. This programme, aimed at training production unit managers, has laid the foundations for this new academic level, thus strengthening the commitment of all parties to the growth of the sector, continuing the same source.
" At Stellantis, we are convinced that the future of the Algerian automotive industry depends above all on the training of talent. This partnership with USTO-MB is an important step that will strengthen the ecosystem. We are proud to contribute to this initiative, which prepares the future leaders of our sector and supports the economic development of the country," declared Raoui Beji, Chairman and CEO of Stellantis El Djazaïr.
“The partnership between the Université des Sciences et de la Technologie d'Oran - Mohamed Boudiaf (USTO-MB) and Stellantis through Fiat El Djazaïr for the work-study Master's program is a unique opportunity to combine theory and practice. This strategic collaboration with a major player in the automotive sector reinforces the relevance and attractiveness of our program. Integrated into the thematic network. This program generates a natural synergy with our work-study training program,” commented Professor Ahmed Hamou, Rector of the USTO-MB.
