According to the Association for Consumer Protection and Guidance (APOCE), store shelves are now better stocked with school supplies, offering a wide range of products. However, its president, Mustapha Zebdi, warns of heavy dependence on imports, with 80% of raw materials imported, even though some are available locally but underutilized. He calls on producers to strengthen local integration to develop a national industry. APOCE is also focusing on domestic markets to limit speculation and offer more affordable prices. Zebdi finally emphasizes that the start of the school year represents an economic opportunity to be seized for investment in local production and consideration of export.
