This local training, which will last until 6 November, involves 20 participants from three institutions: the Centre for the Development of Renewable Energies (CDER), the Commission for Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency (CEREFE) and the National Agency for the Promotion and Rational Use of Energy (APRUE).

The training programme includes seminars on the Korean photovoltaic production quality certification system and quality technology, and sessions on drafting the project concept paper (PCP).

Aiming to build on the results of the training of Algerian experts in photovoltaic energy systems, which began in 2021 and will end in 2023, the training will also include a visit to a photovoltaic energy production test facility operated by CDER in Algeria and discussions with Korean experts on quality control.

According to the announcement, senior officials from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESRS), CDER, CEREFE and APRUE attended the event's opening ceremony.

On this occasion, the director of the KRC, Shin Hong Seop, affirmed that "this training is a valuable opportunity to share Korean experience and technology in solar energy production" and expressed the hope that "the friendly cooperation between Algeria and Korea will continue to develop in the future".
