Pharmaceutical industry: incentives for investors

Ouacim Kouidri emphasized on Monday in El Tarf that incentives have recently been granted to operators in the pharmaceutical industry.

The Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry has announced new measures to facilitate the creation of businesses in this sector. The prior approval period has been extended from one to two years, giving investors more time to complete the administrative procedures. In addition, the professional experience requirement for pharmaceutical technicians has been removed, opening up opportunities for young graduates and reducing barriers for project leaders.

During his visit to El Tarf, the minister inspected the Inpha-Midis laboratories, which produce more than 130 medicines covering 14 therapeutic areas. He welcomed the launch of Algeria's first fully integrated production line for dry powder inhalers, strengthening local innovation in the treatment of respiratory diseases.

Finally, he visited the Biocare factory, which had recently been damaged by fire, to assess the damage and the measures taken to ensure a rapid resumption of operations.
