Construction of a renewable energy equipment production plant in Saïda

Construction work on a new “giant” plant for the production of renewable energy equipment is due to begin in early 2026 in the wilaya of Saïda.

This plant will be built as part of an industrial investment in the municipality of Sidi Ahmed, under the supervision of a Turkish company specializing in the manufacture and production of various renewable energy equipment, including solar panels, batteries, energy storage systems and more, according to provincial authorities.

Creation of hundreds of direct and indirect jobs

According to the same source, " 50-hectare plot of land has been set aside for this major investment project in the same municipality", adding that the completion deadline will not exceed two years, in accordance with a plan that complies with international standards for construction and environmental safety.

The project is expected to create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs in manufacturing, maintenance, and installation, according to reports.
