Algeria: National Digital Transformation Plan 2025-2026 - 500 Projects to Modernize Public Services

At the government-walis meeting, Ms Benmouloud announced the development of the short-term National Digital Transformation Plan (2025-2026), overseen by the High Commission for Digitization in collaboration with ministries and public bodies. Over 500 projects have been identified, and 75% focus on improving public services through defined monitoring and performance indicators.

Algeria Numérique Strategy 2030:

·  The digital transformation is based on five strategic axes:

·  Basic infrastructure;

·  Human resources, training, and R&D;

·  Digital governance;

·  Digital economy;

·  Digital society.

These priorities are broken down into 25 strategic objectives, focusing on developing high-quality telecommunications infrastructures, essential to this transformation.

Key projects:

·  Interoperability platform: An integrated system for securely connecting government departments and agencies.

·  Interactive digital portal: Centralized access to public services, enabling citizens and businesses to complete their procedures online, thus reducing travel and bureaucracy

·  Support for local initiatives: The High Commission will support digital projects locally to ensure more effective governance.

This plan is part of a broader vision, “Algérie Numérique 2030 (Digital Algeria 2030 )”, to modernize the economy, strengthen transparency and improve equal access to services for all citizens, including those in remote areas.
