Textile and leather: An Algerian-Italian training centre to be created

This centre aims to acquire Italian technology and know-how in this field. This is what, Rachid Aimeur, director of the shoe manufacturing unit in Chéraga of the public group Getex, said on the side-lines of a meeting of negotiations with the members of the Italian foundation Fondazione Social Economic Development Enrico Mattei, at CIPA headquarters.

'The project to create a training centre is feasible, especially since our machines are 100% Italian and there have been very positive reactions from both sides,' he says.

This project is part of the new direction of Getex group, which intends to develop a shoe label. We do make the shoe, but it still needs a better finish. This project will allow us to aspire to a competitive product,' he added.

To do so, the two parties met next week to review the situation and take concrete action.
