''The Minister of Industry presented a statement on the national strategy for the recovery of the textile and leather industries, following recommendations from the national conference on the state and prospects for the development of these industries, held on January 30 and 31, 2023'', the same source states.

As such, the revitalization of the textile and leather industry aims ''to recover the position of this sector at the national and international level, a better integration of value chains, the realization of structuring investment projects through the creation of wealth, added value and jobs to ensure local development'', underlines the press release.

Also, the revival of the textile and leather industry aims at ''the promotion of the domestic product in order to meet the needs of the market and the reduction of the import bill namely through the regulation of the parallel market'', notes the same source.
