They also discussed effective ways of promoting and developing this sector of activity in accordance with an annual plan, according to a Ministry press release.

In his speech, Mr. Zitouni affirmed that “the government has provided all the incentives and conditions necessary to support economic operators involved in importing, so that they can turn to production, manufacturing and wealth creation, in application of the directives of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune”.

In this context, the Minister of Trade added that the strategy adopted by the sector concerning the textile and ready-to-wear sector is based on providing all the facilities needed to reduce the import bill for products of the same brand in stages, meeting the needs of the national market and focusing on exports. Mr. Zitouni stressed the need for importers of the same brand to structure import prices, and to guarantee reasonable and justified product prices, according to the same source.
