At the "Batimatec 2025" international trade fair, Minister Belaribi highlighted the remarkable progress made by the ceramics sector in building materials exports, which until now have been dominated by cement and iron. A meeting with ceramics producers is scheduled shortly to draw up a roadmap making this sector an export leader by the end of 2025. He also pointed out that 1.7 million homes had been built between 2020 and 2024 using local materials, aligned with presidential directives banning the import of certain materials. The 2025 programme provides for the construction of 250,000 homes, contributing to an overall target of two million units by 2029, with the participation of more than 18,410 Algerian companies. The Minister praised the sector development and the strong involvement of young people in investment and project implementation in this field.
