A bright future for made in Algeria

“The promising future of Made in Algeria” is the costat of a TV5 Monde report on Algerian production.

While TV5 Monde has taken the household electrical appliance sector as the most edifying example, the channel highlights Algeria's efforts to reduce its import bill by opting for production.


“Algeria has been striving, for several years, to reduce its import bill by developing local products and industries to satisfy domestic demand and explore export opportunities », we read in the description of the report.

TV5 Monde visited the Condor factory in Bordj Bouarriredj where the various devices intended for the Algerian market as well as foreign markets come from. The group intends to reach $100 million in exports in the medium term according to details from one of its managers.

 

“Despite major obstacles, “Made in Algeria” is beginning to gain a foothold in foreign markets,” noted TV5 Monde.
