Strawberry production in Skikda: 4100 quintals this year!

According to the Local Directorate of Agricultural Services (Direction locale des Services Agricoles), estimated strawberry production for the 2024-2025 season will be 4100 quintals on 52 hectares, of which 20 hectares are open-air and under glass.

The same department added, "Open-air strawberry growing is expected to produce 70 quintals per hectare, while greenhouse cultivation is expected to produce 300 quintals."

It should be noted that the town of Skikda celebrated the strawberry festival on Saturday, bringing together 50 strawberry growers, and where varieties were presented to the public.
