Gitex to open a shoe workshop in Chéraga

Among the many national companies that caught visitors' attention at the Algerian Production Fair (FPA) was the Gitex group, specializing in the textile and leather industries.

A diversified range is offered to the general public: shoes, sneakers, leather jackets, comforters, sheets, and carefully embroidered bath towels. The group's stand is always busy. "It's good to see that Made in Algeria is gaining in popularity, despite the stiff competition from foreign products", commented Hadia Krimat, responding to this craze. Ms Krimat, a representative of the Group, believes that local products "offer excellent value for money, which meets the expectations of families". With this in mind, she announced the launch of a new range of children's clothing, at special prices, to coincide with the upcoming Eid holiday. The group also plans to open a new footwear and leather workshop dedicated to the general public, starting in 2025, she revealed, pointing out that currently "80% of the footwear sector is destined to supply the People's National Army (ANP)". "The workshop, to be set up in Chéraga, should strengthen our presence in the national footwear market", she added.
