A New Era for the National Home Appliance Industry. Aiming to boost exports of locally manufactured home appliance spare parts, the government has recently made a new encouraging decision for economic operators in the sector.

From now on, the export of spare parts is permitted. This is revealed by the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA).

"In the framework of encouraging and promoting exports and supporting operators exporting non-hydrocarbon products, and in response to the concerns of economic actors brought to the attention of public authorities by the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), we are pleased to announce that the Prime Minister has informed us of the adoption of measures to lift regulatory restrictions related to the export of spare parts that are part of the after-sales service for electronic products marketed by our operators abroad," states the CREA communiqué.

According to the same source, these measures "will have a positive impact on the export of electronic products manufactured in Algeria by allowing our companies to offer quality products and after-sales service that meet international standards."

In this regard, the organization chaired by Kamel Moula has expressed its high appreciation for "the authorities' ongoing listening and consultation spirit to address the concerns of operators, which will benefit the national economy."

This government decision follows a meeting held last April by the Minister of Commerce and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, with representatives from the Ministry of Industry, the President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), accompanied by business leaders in the home appliance industry, representatives from the Bank of Algeria and the General Directorate of Customs, as well as the President of the National Association of Algerian Exporters (ANEXAL).

The goal was to explore ways to enhance the export of Algerian home appliances, ensuring after-sales service, and addressing the challenges faced by exporters.

Several Algerian brands already experience strong demand in many international markets due to the quality of their products and their compliance with standards.

Nevertheless, existing regulations hinder the export of spare parts. This obstacle has now been removed.
