Energy and Mines: Arkab meets with APN deputies representing the province of Boumerdès

ALGIERS- Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energy, Mohamed Arkab, received members of the National People's Assembly (APN) representing the wilaya of Boumerdès on Thursday in Algiers, with whom he discussed concerns raised regarding the energy and mining sector in the wilaya, according to a statement from the ministry.

During a meeting at the Ministry with deputies from the wilaya, Mr. Arkab and sector executives discussed issues, such as connecting new localities to electricity and gas, particularly for farms. They also discussed reinforcing the electricity network and extending gas distribution, particularly in the Larbatache industrial zone, to meet the growing demand from investors. Other points concerned the company's social investment, including the construction of sports facilities. The Minister reaffirmed the sector's commitment to responding to citizens' needs and carefully studying the proposals put forward with a view to sustainable local development.
