The first national centre dedicated to the agri-food industry will be built in the commune of Tassala El Merdja, Algiers. This project is part of a process of economic transformation designed to boost the competitiveness of local production and reduce dependence on foreign labour.
The centre will offer specialized high-level training, focusing on the technical and technological aspects of the agri-food industry, a direct response to the growing demand for qualified skills in this rapidly expanding sector.
Equipped with advanced technologies, the centre will offer practical training tailored to the sector's needs. It will also incorporate a pedagogical council made up, in particular, of business players, to ensure that training is in step with market realities. This approach will encourage the transfer of know-how and guarantee the continuous improvement of training courses.
Training aligned with market requirements.
To ensure that graduates are better integrated into the professional world, the Ministry of Industry focuses on developing specialized programs and training trainers and field experts.
In addition, a national mapping of agri-food professions will be developed to identify priority specialities and optimize employment opportunities.
This approach is based on close collaboration between companies and training centres, enabling curricula to be continually adapted to market requirements and guaranteeing concrete outlets for young graduates.
Development of a textile and leather centre
At the same time, the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education has announced the forthcoming opening of a centre dedicated to the textile and leather trades in the wilaya of Bouira.
With modern equipment and curricula in line with developments in the sector, this facility will train qualified professionals ready to enter the job market and meet the growing needs and requirements of local companies.
Through these initiatives, the government aims to meet the job market needs by offering young people structured, tailored training, thus facilitating professional integration.
By developing these specialized infrastructures, Algeria aims to strengthen the skills of its workforce and create direct links between training and employment.
This approach focused on the concrete requirements of industries, would contribute to improving national competitiveness, stimulating innovation and fostering long-term economic development.
