The Algerian household appliance sector becomes a central pillar for the country's industrial policy. During his visit to the International Household Appliance Show, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune called for the national integration rate to be raised to at least 50%, with a final target of 100%, particularly in the electronics and household appliance industries. He praised the progress made by companies such as Condor, Iris and Bomare Company, which are developing local production of key components.

Today, local production covers 83% of national demand, thanks to some 150 companies, 87% in the private sector, and a policy to support productive investment. Some units have already achieved 35% integration on certain products, such as air conditioners and washing machines.

The Chairman stressed the importance of first meeting the needs of the domestic market by adopting continuous production, before considering exports. While real progress has been made, full local integration remains conditional on the development of subcontracting, mastery of technical components and viability of production lines.
