The positive results of the tests carried out have demonstrated the effectiveness and quality of this product, said the Director of Marketing and Communications, Nadir Guernaz, in a statement to APS on the sidelines of the 8th edition of the International Investment Fair for Industry, Construction, Energy, Logistics and Exports, ‘Algeria Invest Expo’, which closed on Sunday at the Oran Convention Centre.

He added that the company is awaiting the completion of international certification procedures so that it can begin marketing petroleum coke and meet the needs of businesses operating in domestic and international markets, noting that Amouda continues to strengthen its presence in overseas markets.

Since the start of this year, it has exported significant quantities of clinker and grey cement to Europe, to expand its operations in 2026 to include Latin American markets.

Shipments of grey cement have also been exported to Mali, Niger and Mauritania via commercial operators, with promising prospects for expansion into Central African markets later this year.

The cement company ‘Amouda’, located in the municipality of El Beïda (Laghouat province), has two production lines with a total estimated capacity of 2.5 million tonnes of cement per year, in addition to clinker, and employs around 650 workers.
