The visit to Algiers of the Omani Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Qais Bin Mohammed Al Youcef, marked a key stage in strengthening the strategic partnership between Algeria and Oman. Received by Algerian Industry Minister Sifi Ghrieb, the Omani official discussed bilateral investment opportunities, drawing on the economic complementarities between the two countries.

Several concrete commitments were agreed: creation of joint industrial zones, establishment of a joint database on investment opportunities, formation of a joint working group and the rapid development of an operational roadmap. Discussions also focused on major ongoing projects, including a shipping line between the two countries, the extension of the ammonia plant in Oran, an aluminium smelter in Jijel and a joint fishing fleet.

This dynamic cooperation is part of a shared desire to develop a lasting economic partnership, based on trust, complementarity and mutual interests. AAPI reaffirmed its role in actively supporting Omani investors in Algeria.
