The ADE has been honoured for its sustained efforts to develop seawater desalination and strengthen water security in Algeria, through the implementation of infrastructure projects that help to ensure a sustainable supply of drinking water.

For its part, the GICA Group was honoured with the ‘Environment & Sustainability Awards’, in recognition of its innovative waste-to-energy project, which aims to establish a supply chain for alternative fuels for the cement industry, to replace some of the natural gas used gradually.

This project is part of a circular economy initiative, enabling waste to be converted into energy whilst reducing the strain on national gas resources and contributing to the transition towards a low-carbon industry.

SFA Belmadani, a company specialising in industrial solutions and technical equipment, has been recognised for its initiatives to modernise production facilities and strengthen the industrial base.

In the field of steel construction, the Metal Fab unit, part of SNC Metal, has been recognised for its expertise in the construction of complex steel structures, particularly in industrial and infrastructure projects, demonstrating the growth of national capabilities in engineering and manufacturing.

For its part, the engineering consultancy Chaib (CERCES) was recognised for its work in renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Organised under the patronage of the Minister for Industry, this competition attracted 54 entries, of which only five were selected by a panel of experts, each in its own category, highlighting initiatives offering significant added value to the national economy.
