25th Batimatec Trade Fair: Inovative building materials in the spotlight

Considered the "must-see" event for professionals in the building and construction sector, the trade fair, which ended on Thursday at the Palais des Expositions, was an opportunity for many participants to showcase innovative materials and equipment produced locally by Algerian companies or joint enterprises with renowned foreign companies.

These are manufacturers involved in the production of paints, plaster, ceramics, bricks, glass and aluminium who have succeeded in the challenge of raising the level of national production and investing in innovative and intelligent materials, combining economy, comfort, speed and simplicity of execution, with energy and environmental performance, the APS news agency noted during a round through the various stands of this fair, opened last Sunday.

In this wake, Hasnaoui group presented new solutions for the construction of internal partition walls with plaster panels called "Panoplastre" reinforced with fiberglass and screwed onto a galvanized steel metal structure.

Innovative construction solutions were also presented by companies specializing in painting, interior decoration and exterior facade.

In this field, Semin Algérie, a partnership company, has honoured its cement-based beam coating developed for the treatment of humidity-degraded substrates indoors and outdoors. According to the representative of the Béjaia-based company, this product blocks permanent moisture in buildings and is highly permeable to water vapour.

In the opinion of many participants in this 25th Batimatec trade fair, Algeria today has a very large and developed construction materials and building sector, including specialized companies with the capacity to satisfy the local market and move serenely international markets.
