180 billion for the acquisition of new trains

The Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities, and Transportation, Saïd Sayoud, announced during his speech to the National People's Assembly that a substantial amount would be allocated to renewing and strengthening the national passenger train fleet.

The minister specified that 180 billion dinars will be allocated to the acquisition of new train sets to address the current train shortage and improve passenger transport capacity nationwide.

Sayoud also indicated that his ministry is preparing detailed specifications for this project before launching an international call for tenders. The aim is to take delivery of the new trains as soon as possible, thereby strengthening the national rail network and modernizing transport infrastructure.
