Sonatrach and NOC sign agreement to supply LPG to the Kenyan market

On Monday, Sonatrach signed a memorandum of understanding with NOC to supply LPG to the Kenyan market, on the sidelines of the fourth edition of the IATF in Algiers.

The Sonatrach Group signed a memorandum of understanding with the Kenya National Oil Company (NOC) in Algiers, on the sidelines of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF). This agreement aims to supply the Kenyan market with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and petroleum products, while launching joint projects in hydrocarbon exploration and production. It is part of the memorandum of understanding between the Algerian and Kenyan governments to strengthen their energy cooperation. The agreement also provides for the creation of a trading platform dedicated to petroleum and petrochemical products, the promotion of LPG as a fuel, and training programs for NOC executives. Sonatrach CEO Rachid Hachichi welcomed the initiative as beneficial to both countries and in line with the Sustainable Development Goals in Africa.
