Gas market: Hachichi meets with major international players in Italy

From Africa to the Mediterranean, Sonatrach is stepping up its meetings and gas agreements. This time, a delegation from the group led by Rachid Hachichi travelled to Italy to participate in the Gastech international forum, which began yesterday in Milan and will run until the 12th of this month.

The 2025 edition of the energy event will focus on a key issue for the Mediterranean and Africa: access to natural gas and the energy transition. Algeria, through Sonatrach, intends to play a leading role thanks to an ambitious plan in gas and renewable energies, particularly green hydrogen. Ranked among the five most influential oil giants according to Oil Price, Sonatrach is participating in this international event to strengthen strategic partnerships, attract new investors, and consolidate its position as a reliable supplier on the global market. CEO Rachid Hachichi will hold a series of meetings with major players in the sector to discuss development prospects and explore new opportunities for cooperation. This participation is part of a strategy to secure energy supplies and support a sustainable energy transition.
