Algerian Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines Mohamed Arkab met with the Indonesian ambassador to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the mining and hydrocarbon sectors. Indonesian groups, including Pertamina and Pupuk Indonesia, have expressed interest in Algeria's potential, particularly in oil exploration and the development of phosphate and natural gas.

Several major projects were discussed, including investments of up to $900 million by 2048. The two sides also discussed the transformation of strategic resources such as lithium and the sustainable development of supply chains.

This partnership aims to promote Algerian resources, encourage technology transfer, and strengthen Indonesia's economic presence in Africa.
