The port of Algiers welcomed a delegation from the Spanish port of Castellón, led by its director. Hosted by Abdelhamid Boulaâm, general manager of the Algiers port authority, the visit featured a presentation on the history and port activities, which have seen a 45% increase in traffic a year. Thanks to the demolition of old warehouses and the refurbishment of the quays, the port has gained 22,000 m² of additional space.

Abdelhamid Boulaâm highlighted the smooth running of port operations, emphasising that ships do not have to wait more than two days. He expressed his desire to develop a partnership with the port of Castellón, an ambition shared by the Spanish side, which considers the port of Algiers to be a key player in Mediterranean trade.
