A new service to check the number of SIM cards registered in the subscriber's name

On Monday, the Regulatory Authority for Postal and Electronic Communications (ARPCE) announced the official launch of the new “Arkami DZ” service.

The Regulatory Authority for Postal and Electronic Communications (ARPCE) has launched a new service for mobile phone subscribers to check the number of SIM cards registered in their name by keying in *254#. This initiative, which costs 5 dinars per request, aims to protect users against the fraudulent use of their personal data. After entering their date of birth, subscribers receive a text message indicating the registered SIM card number. The ARPCE also encourages users to visit a branch with their ID to check registrations with other operators. This step is part of an overall effort to strengthen digital security, which is considered a collective responsibility.
