Digital transformation: Huawei and Yassir sign strategic agreement

Chinese tech giant Huawei and Algerian digital services platform Yassir have announced a strategic partnership to give new impetus to digital transformation in Algeria.

"This alliance brings together, on the one hand, Huawei's global technological power and, on the other, the digital leadership of Yassir, a key player in mobility, mobile payments and connected services in Algeria and North Africa," said a statement from Huawei.

According to the same source, the agreement aims to develop innovative solutions in several key areas, including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, server infrastructure, smart mobility, and digital services and payments.

"The aim is to strengthen Algeria's tech ecosystem, boost local innovation and contribute to the modernisation of the national economy, while supporting talent, start-ups and digital initiatives. This historic collaboration heralds a new era for tech in Algeria," the statement added.
