This reaffirmation follows a high-level meeting held recently in Algiers.

In a message posted on his LinkedIn account on Saturday, Samir Cherfan, Stellantis' director of operations for the Middle East and Africa, revealed that he had chaired the group's regional executive committee meeting in Algeria. He described Algeria as a "key market" and an "essential pillar" of Stellantis' regional strategy, without, however, disclosing further details on the content of the discussions.

Cherfan emphasised that Algeria has considerable potential, adding that Stellantis is strongly committed to long-term investments to support the country's industrial development. He noted that the progress on the ground is a testament to the significant support provided by the Algerian authorities, the strength of the partnerships established in the country and the dedication of the local teams.

Referring to the regional executive committee meeting held in Algiers, Cherfan explained that this visit enabled regional leaders to gain a first-hand understanding of the growing momentum of the Algerian market, the promising prospects in automotive manufacturing and the emergence of new mobility solutions. He praised the involvement of regional officials in supporting this phase of growth.

In conclusion, Cherfan assured that Stellantis remains firmly committed to its future in Algeria and will continue to invest in strengthening the country's human and industrial capabilities, with the ambition of building a competitive, sustainable automotive ecosystem capable of keeping pace with future transformations in the mobility sector.
