Stellantis strengthens its presence in Algeria with the extension of the Fiat plant in Oran

As part of the expansion of the Algerian automotive industry, Stellantis has launched work to extend the Fiat plant near Oran to meet the Algerian automotive sector's specifications. This initiative includes new manufacturing stages, such as ironing and painting, to produce vehicles in CKD (Completely Knocked Down) mode and increase local production capacity.

According to Samir Cherfan, Stellantis' Director of Operations for the Middle East and Africa region, the project aims to increase the rate of local vehicle integration and create up to 2,000 jobs. Launched two years ahead of the original schedule, the work reflects Stellantis' commitment to Algeria's industrial and economic development.

This strategic project, which strengthens local integration and diversifies the national economy, represents a major step forward in meeting the growing demand for Algerian-made vehicles.
