Start-ups: Algerian-Italian exchanges in Algiers

Yesterday evening in Algiers, the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups, and Micro-enterprises, Noureddine Ouadah, received a delegation from the University of Naples Parthenope, led by its president, Antonio Garofalo, in the presence of the Italian ambassador to Algeria, Alberto Cutillo.

According to a statement from the ministry, this visit is part of Algerian-Italian cooperation on developing entrepreneurial skills in Algeria.

On this occasion, both parties examined ways to strengthen the capacities needed to establish innovative ecosystems and consolidate a common approach in the field of micro-enterprises.

The visit programme featured presentations by ministry officials and lecturers from the Italian university. These discussions provided the Italian delegation with an overview of the national start-up ecosystem, mechanisms for promoting entrepreneurship, notably ANGEM and NESDA, and the role of the National Agency for Self-Employment (ANAE).

For its part, the Italian delegation outlined programmes to strengthen entrepreneurial skills within universities and prospects for cooperation on sustainable development.
