A first shipment of pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical products was exported from the province of Oum El Bouaghi to the Sultanate of Oman and China, as part of efforts to strengthen the presence of Algerian products on international markets.
This operation is part of a shared vision to strengthen regional pharmaceutical security and boost a new Arab economic dynamic.
The IMGSA group, which specialises in pharmaceutical products in Oum El Bouaghi, exported a shipment of pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical products to the Sultanate of Oman. Two agreements were signed to support economic cooperation between the two countries.
Enhanced cooperation with the Sultanate of Oman
In this regard, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Algeria, Saif Rashid Al-Badai, said: "This is an excellent initiative. I am delighted to see this cooperation come to fruition after a long period of work and effort by all parties. We see great cooperation and many investment opportunities in Algeria."
In addition, the group will export its first shipment of natural rubber to China, a move that reflects the strength of the Algerian pharmaceutical industry and its ability to compete and meet the needs of foreign markets.
"We are witnessing the export of the first shipment from Algeria to China, and we expect this cooperation between the two countries to expand in the future," the Chinese side representative said.
First breakthrough into the Chinese market
The CEO of the IMGSA Group stated that "two containers were sent to the Sultanate of Oman. One container was shipped to China, followed by another 10 days later, in addition to another container bound for Yemen."
He added that "the Chinese operator has also requested monthly exports of liquid calcium carbonate, for an estimated total annual quantity of 500 tonnes."
