Ouargla: International Exhibition on Investment in Saharan Agriculture from January 5 to 8

The province of Ouargla will host the second edition of the International Exhibition on Investment in Saharan Agriculture from January 5 to 8, organizers announced on Sunday.

Organised under the theme "Strategic crops, guarantors of food security", the exhibition will bring together various stakeholders, professionals and agricultural investors.

Alongside this event, a symposium will be held, led by university lecturers and researchers, as well as representatives from national institutes involved in agricultural activities, it was added.

Among the topics studied were "the constraints of Saharan agriculture", "prospects for the development of Saharan agriculture", "the fenugreek heritage and ways of promoting it", "agricultural investment and renewable energies", in addition to other topics related to ways of boosting Saharan agriculture in order to achieve food security and support the national economy.

Several economic operators, managers of public and private companies, and representatives of foreign companies specialising in seeds and plant protection products will take part in the exhibition.

The Fair is organised by Souf-Foires des salons et expositions, in coordination with the local Agricultural Services Department, the Ouargla Chamber of Agriculture and the National Institute for Agricultural Extension.
