Algeria and Jordan strengthen cooperation in the hydrocarbon and mining sectors

The Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received the Secretary General of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Jordan, Khaled Fanatseh, in Algiers on Sunday.

During a meeting between Algerian and Jordanian officials, Energy Minister Mohamed Arkab reaffirmed the two countries' desire to strengthen cooperation in the energy, mining, and labour union sectors. Discussions focused on oil and gas supplies, the storage and distribution of petroleum products, and joint projects involving phosphate, fertilizers, and geological studies.

The minister emphasized the importance of sharing expertise and technology, and encouraged partnerships between companies in both countries. The meeting also addressed strengthening trade union cooperation between the UGTA and the Jordanian Federation, particularly in the areas of training, social dialogue, and improving working conditions.
