The memorandum of understanding “aims to strengthen trade links and promote joint exhibitions and trade fairs, drawing on each party’s experience in organising and managing such events”, the press release states.
The memorandum also aims to “promote the exchange of trade information to facilitate market access” and to “develop training and capacity-building programmes”, the same source adds.
The document was signed on Tuesday at the Algerian Embassy in London by the Director General of CACI, Kouidri Chakib Ismail, and the Executive Chairman of the Chambers of Commerce of West London, Alan Rides.
The ceremony was attended by the Algerian Ambassador to London, Noureddine Yazid; the UK Member of Parliament and Trade Envoy to Algeria, Yasmin Qureshi; the CEO of the Algerian Society for Trade Fairs and Exports (SAFEX), Karim Boukadoum, the President of the National Association of Algerian Exporters (ANEXAL), Tarek Boulmerka, the representative of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), Salim Haddoud, as well as several business operators, the statement concluded.
