According to the explanations provided to the minister by the officials of "Cosider Agrico," this investment aligns directly with the policy of the country's highest authorities to diversify the national economy and achieve food self-sufficiency.

The "Kerkit-Sfiha" perimeter, covering an area of 17,000 hectares, is intended for the production of cereals, fodder, legumes, as well as cattle and fish farming, particularly tilapia.

Mr. Merad's visit to the Khenchela province aims to allow him to assess, on-site, the progress of several "vital and structuring" projects included in the complementary development program decided by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for this province.

During his visit, the minister will inspect several projects, including the railway station in the municipality of El Hamma, the House of Artificial Intelligence at Abbas-Laghrour University, the widening of the road linking the municipalities of Babar and Ensigha, the bypass road of the city of Khenchela, and the site for the rehabilitation, extension, and development of the Green Dam in the municipality of Ensigha. The visit will conclude with a meeting with representatives of civil society.
