Industry: Towards the optimization of statistical information

On Sunday, Industry Minister Sifi Ghrieb concluded his evaluation meetings with the various players in the industrial, production and pharmaceutical sectors with a meeting with the heads of the company for economic studies, financial analysis, and forecasting (ECOFIE).

ECOFIE: a strategic pillar for the commercial public sector

Created in 1998, ECOFIE provides financial and statistical reports for 11 industrial groups and 25 state-owned companies, constituting an essential basis for monitoring the performance of the commercial public sector.

At a recent meeting, Mr Ghrieb, Minister of Industry, stressed the importance of improving the quality and reliability of information transmitted to ECOFIE. He recommended the creation of a statistical data collection platform and a secure system based on intelligent technologies, involving emerging companies.

In addition, the Minister insisted on continuing to update the national industrial network map, to provide a clear vision of industrial dynamics and facilitate future industrial policy orientations.
